Sacred Tree Bracelet from Japan’s Ise Shrine
Miracle on the Night of the Typhoon
It happened on a stormy night, when a powerful typhoon swept across Japan.
A sacred cedar tree—over 300 years old—fell within the Inner Sanctuary of Ise Shrine, a place often called the spiritual heart of the Japanese people.
Normally, no tree within this sacred forest may ever be cut.
These divine trees, known as Goshinboku, are symbols of Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess herself.
But this time, nature had made its choice.
And from this rare moment, something extraordinary was born.
Local artisans of Ise, with deep reverence, carefully crafted the fallen wood into something new—
to let it “walk beside someone once again,”
in a different form.
Thus, the Sacred Tree Bracelet was born.
Each bracelet holds the rings of time—markings of centuries of wind, rain, and stillness.
Perhaps even the breath of the deities who have watched over Japan for thousands of years lingers within.
“This bracelet is my personal talisman for life,”
many wearers have said.
To you who seek a moment of peace in each day—
To you who wish to feel the spirit of nature close—
May this sacred tree once again become someone’s quiet strength.
The Power of the Sacred Realm
Thank you for visiting.
My name is Mikiko Nishida.
I have long wished to feel the sacred presence of Amaterasu-Omikami,
the revered Sun Goddess, close to my heart.
This bracelet was created to fulfill that wish.
It is a truly special piece—
a spiritual accessory you can also use as a Buddhist prayer bracelet (nenju), if you wish.
About Ise Shrine and Amaterasu-Omikami
Ise Shrine, located in Ise City, Mie Prefecture,
is Japan’s most sacred and prestigious Shinto shrine,
with a history stretching back over 2,000 years.
It is dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami,
the Sun Goddess and one of the most revered deities in Japanese mythology.
The shrine is also famous for enshrining the Yata no Kagami—
the Eight-Span Mirror, one of the Three Sacred Treasures of Japan.
Amaterasu-Omikami is regarded as the ancestral deity of the Japanese Imperial Family,
and is believed to watch over the peace of the people and the prosperity of the nation.

A Companion for Your Life’s Journey
The Japanese word for sugi (cedar)
comes from the phrase meaning “a tree that grows straight.”
This noble tree carries the meanings of
grandeur, depth, and sincerity.
Wouldn’t it be a fitting companion
for your own beautiful journey through life?
We hope you’ll also pass it on
to your children or grandchildren—
as a cherished symbol of love and legacy.
ID Number and Certificate Included
A Bracelet Officially Recognized by Shinto Priests
As this is a limited-edition item,
each bracelet comes with its own ID number and certificate of authenticity.
This Sacred Tree Bracelet was created
with special permission from the Shinto priests of Ise Shrine—
a rare and official recognition.
It is truly a miraculous creation,
born from a typhoon that brought down a sacred tree.
Because of its extraordinary origin,
it is unlikely that such bracelets will ever be made again.
Size and Fit
Also Suitable for Sacred Display
As this is a sacred item,
some people choose to enshrine it on a household or business altar rather than wear it.
In such cases, there is no need to worry about the size.
The bracelet has a diameter of approximately 7.5 cm
and a circumference of about 16.5 to 17 cm.
When I wear it, it feels slightly loose—
but for those who prefer a relaxed fit,
it may feel just right.
When my husband wears it,
it fits perfectly.
Since it’s made from a rare type of wood,
the bracelet is extremely light and comfortable to wear.
Its rich, elegant color makes it a beautiful match
for both men and women, regardless of age.
Guided by a Sacred Connection
Those who come to hold this bracelet
are not doing so by mere coincidence—
but rather, by the hand of a meaningful connection.
This bracelet, made from the sacred Oyama-sugi of Ise Shrine,
carries both dignity and exceptional quality—
making it a truly worthy companion
on your radiant journey through life.
